GALERIE LA FEMME

Cherchez La Femme or Look for the Woman. The verity of this phrase is embodied by paintings, prints and sculptures exhibited in a small and cosy gallery called La Femme located in the very centre of Prague.

Gallery La Femme puts emphasis on offering its visitors and customers works by renowned authors, as well as young and promising artists. That is the only way of creating symbiosis, which grants the visitors the greatest freedom when choosing a work of art.

Gallery Le Femme not only exhibits artwork, it also cooperates on the creation of some of it by assigning the chosen artists regular homework. Many fascinating works of art have been created in this unusual way. The fi rst exhibition of the homework titled "A Homage to One Photograph" showed works by as many as forty Czech artists. It was followed by topics of "Breakfast in the Grass", "A Small Homage to Big Edith Piaf", "Venus", "A Woman and a Car", "Mona Lisa", "Woman, Song and Wine", "Expulsion from Paradise" and "The World Is Fun with Water".
